NV Mechanics Design actuators are available in two depth rating tiers: up to 3,000 msw (meters of sea water) for the self-compensated linear and rotary models, and up to 6,000 meters for the high-force linear actuator series. Both tiers use oil pressure compensation to maintain seal integrity at extreme depths.

All actuators are pressure-compensated and depth-rated to 3,000–6,000 m, ensuring reliable performance in the most demanding deep-sea and subsea environments.
Driver circuitry, absolute encoders, and RS422/RS232 control are all housed inside the actuator, reducing system complexity and simplifying ROV and subsea integration.
30-bit absolute encoders mounted on the output shaft retain precise position data between power cycles, ensuring consistent and repeatable actuation without re-homing routines.
