Both the linear and rotary self-compensated actuators support RS422 (RS485 duplex on 4 wires) and RS232 serial communication at 19200 baud. All configurable parameters, including virtual limit switch positions and broadcast frequency, are stored in internal EEPROM and retained between power cycles for seamless ROV integration.

Yes. Both the linear and rotary actuators feature a 30-bit absolute encoder mounted on the output shaft, combining a 14-bit single-turn encoder with a 16-bit multi-turn counter. Position information is retained between power cycles, eliminating the need for homing routines after power interruptions — a critical advantage in subsea and ROV operations.

The 260cc Oil Compensator body is constructed from Delrin, a highly corrosion-resistant engineering polymer well-suited for seawater environments. The spring is available in SST (stainless steel) or Inconel, with Inconel recommended for the most demanding deep-sea and high-salinity conditions. A titanium variant with its own drawing reference is also available.

The self-compensated linear actuator delivers an axial force of 220 to 330 LBS (1000–1500 N) depending on configuration. The rotary actuator provides a nominal continuous torque of 19 ft. lbf (27 Nm) at a gear ratio of 238:1, with a maximum output shaft speed of 30 RPM — suited for valve actuation and subsea manipulator applications.
