Waterproof Electric Linear Actuators — 12V

Depending on the model, available supply voltages include 24 VDC, 48 VDC, and 230 VDC. The Self Compensated actuator operates at 24 VDC with integrated driver circuitry. The Trunion 1000N supports 24, 48, and 230 VDC, while the 60,000 N Force model operates at 230 VDC. Custom configurations may be available upon request.

The product range spans from 1,000 N (220 lbs) up to 77,500 N (7,000 lbs) of axial force. The Self Compensated model delivers up to 1,500 N, the Trunion 1000N scales from 1,000 N to 77,500 N across variants, and the 60,000 N Force actuator delivers up to 50,000 N for heavy-duty subsea tasks.

Actuator housings are constructed from either Stainless Steel 316 (SST 316) or Titanium, both selected for their superior corrosion resistance in saltwater and marine environments. Titanium is recommended for the most demanding deep-sea or long-duration deployments where weight reduction is also a priority.

Two feedback methods are available depending on the model. The Trunion 1000N and 60,000 N Force models use a rotary resolver on the motor shaft for precise analog position feedback. The Self Compensated model features an absolute 30-bit multi-turn encoder on the output shaft that retains position data between power cycles without re-homing.

The Self Compensated Linear Actuator includes fully integrated RS422 (RS485 duplex) and RS232 serial communication at 19200 baud, with configurable status broadcast at 10 Hz, software virtual limit switches, and EEPROM-stored parameters. The other models use external resolver feedback and require a separate driver or controller for communication and motion control.

The Trunion 1000N and 60,000 N Force models use Seacon underwater connectors, an industry-standard choice for reliable subsea electrical connectivity. The Self Compensated actuator uses an MCBH8M SubConn 8-pin underwater connector, supplied with a 12-inch MCIL8F whip cable, compatible with standard ROV and subsea integration harnesses.
