Two depth rating tiers are available: self-compensated linear and rotary actuators rated to 3,000 msw (meters of sea water), and heavy-duty linear actuators rated to 6,000 meters depth. All self-compensated models support RS422 (RS485 full-duplex on 4 wires) and RS232 serial communication at 19200 baud, 8N1 configuration. Status messages are broadcast at 10 Hz by default and are configurable via EEPROM. This makes integration straightforward with standard ROV control systems and topside computers.

The heavy-duty linear actuators (rated to 6,000m) are available in Stainless Steel 316 (SST 316) or Titanium, both offering excellent corrosion resistance in saltwater and marine environments. The self-compensated models are oil-pressure-compensated for structural integrity, making them reliable across freshwater, brackish, and deep ocean deployments.

Yes. Self-compensated models feature a 30-bit absolute multi-turn encoder (14-bit single-turn + 16-bit turns counter) mounted directly on the output shaft. Position data is retained between power cycles. Heavy-duty linear models use a rotary resolver on the motor shaft. The rotary actuator provides 0.1-degree resolution at the output shaft.
